Men can be insensitive at times...

There was a father who was pacing in the waiting room of the maternity room while his wife was having their first child. He was having a very tough time of it. When the baby was born the nurse came out and told him "congratulations, you now have a baby girl." He said, "Thank goodness it's a girl! -- so she won’t have to go through what I have been through tonight."
