Instruction, of children
Ferris Jordan, professor of Christian education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, reports:
...If mothers and fathers attend Sunday School and worship together with their children, 72% of those children will continue to attend when they become adults.
...When fathers alone take their children to Sunday School and worship, 55% of the children will continue to attend when they become adults.
...When mothers alone take their children to Sunday School and worship, only 15% of the children will continue to attend when they are adults.
...If neither parent takes the children to Sunday School and worship, only 6% of the children will continue to attend when they are adults.
2 Timothy 1:5: "I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you."
